Raw materials for manufacturing urea are:

I. Ammonia (NH3) 2. Carbon dioxide (CO2)

Manufacturing process of urea consists of following steps

a. Manufacturing of carbamate

Reaction between NH3 and CO2 produces ammonium carbamate

b. Distillation

Distillation of ammonium carbamate gives urea along with water

c. Evaporation

The urea solution is concentrated using vacuum evaporator. Then concentrated solution is rapidly cooled and sent to printing tower. In pilling tower, urea granules (یوریا کے دانے) are produced which are packed and then marketed.
